ROBOT SHOWGIRLS

You will see Robot Showgirls on your sidewalks once you reach Pt 3 of the main Questline and you need to put a Character on a task to clear them. There are only 2 Characters that can do this, Roberto and Fender. Simply tap on a Robot Showgirl, and you’ll bring up the attack screen. On this screen you’ll see the heart Power of the Robot Showgirl, and the Characters you can use to take the heart Power to 0. Robot Showgirls have 30 Heart Power so either neither Character can clear them in one task if they are Level 1, you will need to Level them up to increase the damage they can do. For example you’ll need Roberto at Level 16 to be able to do 30 damage in one task. So be prepared for this to take time. It takes 5 hours for the task to complete and as I said you’ll need to do the task twice to reduce a Robot Showgirl’s health to 0 until you’ve levelled up your characters.

The rewards you get for clearing them are as follows:

1 Oil (Always)
20 Robot Souls (Always)
3xp (Always)

NEW SPACE MISSION – HELLBOUND FROM DOWNTOWN

And we’re on our travels again, as this first week of the event brings us 1 new Space Mission to complete. It’s located on Earth and will unlock as you progress through the Main Questline. This mission isn’t as complex to navigate but will still take time and resources, and you can’t ignore it forever as it’s the source of the Pink Robot Showgirl Metal you’ll need to progress.

Now here’s the basic information you’ll need to plot your way through the 5 paths in this Space Mission, but remember you’ll find a Snapshot guide to the easiest path HERE soon.

Mission Name: Hellbound From Downtown
Mission Location: Earth
Objective: Maybe You Can Hail A Cab
Number of Paths: 5
Fuel Per Stop: 1
Total Fuel Required to complete all Paths: Approx 350 – Ouch

Repeat Path Completion Rewards: 2 Giga Career Chip, 5 Hypnotons, 20 Robot Souls
One-Time Reward for 100% Completion: 25 Pizza, 105 Robot Souls

Artifact: n/a

Hellbound From Downtown is a lesser complex maze of Paths that resembles a Skull & Crossbones. Most of the paths require unlocking with a high level Character and/or Class and trying to complete the mission 100% is for later. For now you want to start with the easiest path, which I’ve marked here.

Remember this is just my plan, you can of course follow a different path.

Now as you can see above there’s a new enemy in space, Pink Robot Showgirls, and these primarily take a combination of Bombs to defeat them, you’ll need to hit them with 1 Oil Bomb and then 1 Fire Bomb to quickly completely defeat them. You must use them in that order Oil Bomb, then Fire Bomb, so be careful not to waste any.

However the Water Bomb also does some damage, but not as quick as the recommended combination, so if you’ve an excess of  them you could use some here, but remember you will still need these to clear Robot Snakes when they appear.

Of course you can try it bombless, not so easy now Robot defence don’t stack, but you can try using influencers to try keep your crew alive throughout the mission, but that’s going be tough, very tough, and very time-consuming.

And finally once you get Roberto you can simply use his Villain class special ability to weaken our enemies defences. Now it does take stacking these, and how many times you’ll need to use the special ability will depend on the level you have Roberto at. But as a guide I took him to Level 13 and could take out all the Robot enemies by stacking his Special Ability usually just 3 times. Whilst doing this I used Influencers to keep Roberto’s life refreshed. So this is the route you’ll be taking once you unlock Roberto. I’m hopefully he won’t take too long as the drops in my test game were good.

There you have the overall Basics that I can give you for the fourth wave of Episode 2: Robot Hell On Earth event.

What do you think of it so far? Any tips for fellow Players? Any items you’re frightfully excited about? Any items you immediately purchased? Let us know in the comments.

  1. I’m still 6 socks away from unlocking Roberto – The Trump Trapazoid hasn’t dropped a single sock for me in 4 days.
Is anyone else having this problem or just me?

I messaged TinyCo about it last night before bed… but this morning I’ve come to work and left my phone at home so won’t know their response until much much later tonight! 😦

      1. Had one drop in roughly 5 days now. Still rubbish but at least it’s a step closer.

        TinyCo responded saying
“while a drop may be designated with “common” or “uncommon”, part of the drop chance still comes down to luck. Some payers may find that they get certain drops in rapid succession, while it may take a bit longer for others. Only “always” drops are guaranteed to drop”

they also said they’re always adjusting drop rates to deliver a better experience for players and they’d pass along my feedback to the team.

  2. Unlocked Roberto and got him to level 20. (I am out of chips now, back to farming maps for chips LOL)

I did Roberto’s path, which gives 14 showgirl’s metal, with a team of Roberto, one robot and three influencers without using any bombs. All characters are level 20. Took me about 30 to 40 min.

As Shmax and others suggested, keeping the normal robots alive by locking in on the showgirl or moth/snake and using incoming attacks to charge your own special attacks speeds things up. Time depends on how quickly one can get Roberto’s two/three debuff attacks ready to fire.

Now waiting for Fender’s items to drop.

          1. I have two spikes now (crafted), and the fiddler shop is still locked. Do I have to finish a side quest before this gets unlocked? I am still missing the mine coaster and the fiddler shop for yhe hookerbot and fenderbot. With the new content coming up, I am tired of spending pizza for this event. ($40 so far)

I have discovered that if you use Water and then Electricity, that this mostly works for clearing them off. I had an issue where I was struggling to make more due to having an oversupply, so I decided to waste them.

    1. Yeah, but if you’ve no oil or fire it was to let players know a few water bombs can take them out. As you say good way to use some that had built up.

  4. Just thought I’d post what I think is a pretty optimal strategy for using Roberto:

    1. Go into any mission and bring only Roberto, a single bureaucrat, and a robot (you might be able to do it without the robot if your Roberto and your healer are high enough level, which makes the strategy even more efficient–I tried it with a 22 bureaucrat and couldn’t quite pull off the inner nose-loop of the “Hellbound from Downtown” mission ).
    2. When the battle starts, immediately select one of the Moth/Showgirl/Incubot enemies, and leave it selected for the entire battle. This ensures that no lesser enemies die. If your robot’s super is charged, activate it right away. Heal if necessary.

That’s the only setup. What makes this fast is that receiving a direct hit to Roberto charges half his super, so by minimizing the number of characters on the left side of the screen and maximizing the number of enemies on the right side, you greatly increase Roberto’s chances of getting hit. You keep him alive with heals as needed, and the defense boost from the robot means that the lesser enemies do virtually no damage. With luck, you can launch his super once per round, instead of once every 5 rounds.

Voila! Bombless runs that are no more time-consuming than any other non-bomb-related missions!

Hope that helps. If there’s a better place to post this, feel free to move or reproduce it.

    1. It meant when a Robots special ability was used it gave you a base defence shield, but then each time you used the special ability again the yield got stronger and stronger until enemies could barely damage you. Now youdefence shield maxes out so you can’t become virtually untouchable.

  5. ***… I’m still working on the 2nd Wave and trying to unlock Billionairebot… Russian Tigger had helpfully written about bombless runs during Angry Dome, and I figured hey, ten minutes isn’t too bad, I’ll just do a bombless run. Well I did an almost bombless run (had enough fire bombs to take care of the incubots, but only five thunder bombs, which only used when there were multiple robot moths during a battle) on Path 1 (47 fuel and 11 combats) last night.

It Took Me 2 Freaking Hours!!!!!!!! (cause you can only do 1 damage on the bots each time your combatants throw something at them).

As an FYI: I used Devilish Fry (lvl 12), Hermes (lvl 14), Robot Gypsy (lvl 14), and Bender (lvl 14), and am currently at Level 25 in the game (so I have a 49 dark matter fuel cap).

    Like

    1. Yes it took over 10 minutes to kill each robot enemy not do each run, now you know why we said you’d need patience. These runs are tougher now robots defence doesn’t stack unlimited. Influencers are you’re friend now, and getting Roberto, he makes bombless runs much more bearable. But you’ve got to get to the 4th wave for that to help. Good luck getting there. And I’m sorry I can’t give you back that2 hours of your life 😀
