Cornwood Ascending Week 3 Event Overview!!!

Greetings Earthlings!

Looks like we’re delving further into the epic fantasy event that the cast and crew of the Planet Express have found themselves in, as Cornwood Ascending continues.

ISSUES & GLITCHES

None.

ADDICTS INFO & TIPS

This is looking just a little tougher than previous weeks but still perfectly doable.

King Roberto has a drop of Ignus Essence, and purchasing this outfit also opens up the Long Live The King Space Missions

You can again promote event characters with Essence instead of Badges.

Notice that the Long Live The King Missions all cost 3 Fuel, I’ve questioned this as it seems excessive. UPDATE: TinyCo have confirmed this was wrong and the fuel cost per stop now increases 1-3 like previous weeks.

Further trades are available for excess Essence.

Robot Class is now called DEFENDER Class.

NEW ITEMS IN THE STORE

NEW EVENT CHARACTER PROMOTIONS

Like last week you will not use Badges to promote this weeks event characters and outfits, instead you will use Essence. Yes, the very same Essence you had collect to unlock them.

EVENT AREA

Yes we have a new event area, but as of now it’s not really being used much, just collecting from the Cornwood Swamp releasing 2 Momon Guards every 8hrs.

MOMON SOLDIERS

They will wander your sidewalks,  So look there and you will find them, they may be  hiding behind buildings but TinyCo have added a plume of blue smoke to help us spot them, I only had 1 spawn every 3/4 hours.

Clearing them is easy peasy, just tap them and collect your reward.

Per Momon Guard Cleared:

1 Purple Dice (Always)

NEW SPACE MISSIONS ON EARTH

And we’re on our travels again, as the event brings us 5 new Tempt Your Fate Space Missions and 3 premium Long Live The King Space Missions to complete. And all are located on Earth.

Cornwood Space Missions:

The first Tempt Your Fate Space Mission will unlock when you trigger the main Questline, then each subsequent mission will unlock as you complete a path on the previous one. They start off pretty easy to complete as the new enemies, which include Momon Axemen and Larius are weak at first, but the difficulty starts to increase as usual as the missions go on, and you’ll often need a team in well in excess of the recommended level in the latter missions. And the bad news is you’ll not only need increasing fuel to run missions but also Purple Dice. Fuel costs between 1-3 depending on Mission you run.  You’ll find the overview post on the Tempt Your Fate Space Missions HERE.

Long Live The King Space Missions:

The first Long Live The King Space Mission will unlock when you buy the King Roberto outfit, then each subsequent mission will unlock as you complete a path on the previous one. They again start off pretty easy to complete as the new enemies, which include Momon Axemen and Larius, are weak at first, but the difficulty starts to increase as usual as the missions go on, and you’ll often need a team in well in excess of the recommended level in the latter missions. And the bad news is you’ll currently need a lot of fuel to run these missions and also Purple Dice. Fuel costs 3 per stop on all missions. You’ll find the overview post on the Long Live The King Space Missions HERE.

FUEL UPDATE: TinyCo have confirmed this was wrong and the fuel per stop now increases 1-3 like previous weeks.

  1. Still chipping away at Ignus, but should be done before the event ends. Also, I have decided to upgrade my event characters even though at first I thought it a waste of money. But since I collect the additional essence anyway, it seems much easier than upgrading the “normal” characters. I went from one 3* character (Amy), to four of them in almost no time (Knight Bender, Greyfarn, and Leegola). Now I am debating if it is worth the effort to upgrade the second character from each act as well, because I need to collect more essences for all of those. Or maybe it is better to try and get one of them to 4*, instead of three more to 3*? Any advice?

    1. Remember if you collect the essence necessary you can use it later to upgrade, and these are probably the easiest way to get a 4* team, but there use will be limited outwith the event.

        1. Content sometimes only appears as you move through the Questline – Pt 2 requires you to get 3 Purple Dice

  2. Question that I have: if we purchase one of the buildings that drops essence such as the Wipe Castle, will it continue to drop essence after the end of the event so we can collect enough to fully level up a character? Just trying to budget wisely with characters. Thanks!

    1. From what I’ve been told you will only be able to collect essence for the premium characters/outfits after the event, so these buildings will stop dropping Essence for the freemium outfits.
